Shivam Shirolawala is the Founder and Managing Partner of Grey Fox Partners. He has worked in deal origination since 2015, including inside two firms that invested millions of dollars in the function, and founded Grey Fox to deliver that capability to investors. His view is that as the industry turns to AI, the advantage in origination is moving toward understanding owners and the psychology of a transaction.
Prior to founding Grey Fox, Mr. Shirolawala was a member of the business development team at Percheron Capital, where he co-led sector theses across essential services and helped build the origination function of a firm whose funds grew from $770 million to $3.1 billion across three vintages. Before that, he sourced software acquisitions at Vista Equity Partners, one of the world’s largest enterprise software investors, across a portfolio of more than 85 companies. Previously, he led business development for a leading supply chain consulting firm, growing firm revenue by more than 40 percent during his tenure. Earlier, he founded and sold WeAreBD, a software company, and advised private equity firms on deal sourcing at PitchBook Data. He began his career at a boutique investment bank in New York.
Mr. Shirolawala received a B.S. in Finance, summa cum laude, from Rutgers University. He lives in Austin with his wife, two children and golden retriever.
